The Christian community is mourning the sudden and sad demise of inspirational musician in the gospel fold, Joe Nester. Social media has been filled with lots of tributes following the shocking news of Joe’s death.
Information reaching our news desk has it that Joe Nester has sadly passed away. Reports say the gospel singer and songwriter died today, July 27, 2025.
His cause of death or the circumstances surrounding his sad demise have not been made known to the public at the time of filing this report.
Fans and friends have flooded social media with many penning down their heartfelt tributes to the legendary singer.

This journey started in 2012. 130 pounds, no teeth, going through withdrawals from a severe heroin addiction. I had been homeless for the previous 10 years and was a 3-time felon on the run for 1st degree armed bank robbery. I had no hope and no future.
The 12-step meetings I attended regularly always talked about a higher power. I remember vividly going back to my halfway house and crying out in the shower to this so-called higher power until one day he finally revealed himself to me. He said I am Jesus Christ, The Way, The Truth, and The Life.
I am the higher power that you have been so desperately seeking. I know that you have no hope left, I know that you can’t see a future right now, but I have plans for you, declares the Lord; Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
I began writing songs, beating on the walls of my halfway house, and singing out from the deepest places of my heart. The beginning was rough and not very Godly, I must admit, but he heard my cries nonetheless, and each song brought me closer to him.
Then he started using my songs to help and heal not only me but also the guys around me in the halfway house.
