The victim of last night’s homicide incident that happened outside a residence on Fern Glade Cove in Cordova has been identified as Corey Adams
According to information from the Shelby County Sheriff through their X platforms, the deputies arrived at the intersection of Forest Hill-Irene and Walnut Grove, and they stopped a vehicle, finding an adult male gunshot victim. They provided life-saving measures until Shelby County Fire arrived. Shelby County Fire personnel later pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
Upon arrival at Fern Glade Cove, deputies found multiple shell casings and learned that four adult males arrived by personal vehicles at area hospitals with gunshot wounds. All four victims are listed in non-critical condition.

The motive of the shooting has been disclosed to the public, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
Corey Adams was a 6’4″, 250lb defensive powerhouse from Edna Karr, with 12 Division 1 offers under his belt.
He was rated a unanimous three-star prospect by all major recruiting outlets. Ranked as a No. 43 best defensive lineman recruit in the country by On3.
