The Dundee community is mourning the death of the kindest and cheeriest person on earth, Ellie Scanlon. The news of her death has come as a shock to friends and netizens who are still in disbelief.
According to reports online, Ellie Scanlan, who was an offshore steward, passed away on July 1, 2025. Her cause of death was not disclosed to the public, but a post made on Facebook by the family says he died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday night.

With deep regret, I share the heartbreaking news of my sister Ellie’s passing.
As so many of you will agree, Ellie was truly one of life’s angels. She fought fiercely and fearlessly for what she believed in, and she gave generously to everyone and every cause that touched her heart.
Ellie passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday morning and was found by our mum. While our grief is immeasurable, we will never forget Ellie, her spirit, her strength, and everything she stood for.
She was a true fighter for what was right and spent her life trying to make the world a little lighter for those around her, because as she always knew, life is tough, but she made it easier just by being in it.
We love you, El. You were far too good for this world.
