It has been reported online that young author, editor and writer, Sareeta Domingo has sadly passed away. The news of her death was disclosed to the public a few hours ago by the Storymix.
Her cause of death or circumstances surrounding her sad and sudden demise was not disclosed to the public at the time of filing this report.
The Storymix announcing the death news through their Facebook they said Sereeta Domingo was the author of The Marvellous Granny Jinks and Me Books with their company. She was the award winning author of novels for both adults and young people.

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Sareeta Domingo.
Under the pen name Serena Holly, Sareeta wrote The Marvellous Granny Jinks and Me books with Storymix, filling the series with perfect warmth, humour, and magic. Through Granny Jinks and Jada, she gave young readers two joyful stories where everyone could see the magic in themselves. She gave little Black girls the mirrors that had long been lacking.
Sareeta’s talent went far beyond her work with us. She was the awarding winning author of novels for both adults and young people, the editor of groundbreaking anthologies, and a widely published essayist. Her career included senior editorial roles across the industry, and earlier this year she was appointed Publishing Director at Jacaranda Books.
She will be remembered for her creativity, her generosity, and her fierce commitment to making space for underrepresented voices in publishing.
