Information reaching our news desk has it that well known Pharmacist, sexual health professional and Medsexpert founder, Dr Michael Fanous has sadly passed away. The news of his death was announced to the public through a series of post made on social media.
His cause of death or circumstances surrounding his sad demise was not disclosed to the public at the time of filing report.
MedsExpert LGBTQ Clinic through their official Facebook page announced the passing of Dr Michael Famous. In the post they described Fanous as an incredible friend who touched lives of so many people.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Famous.
He was an incredible friend, brother, son, pharmacist and activist who touched the lives of so many with his kindness, passion and love. We will forever cherish the memories of Dr. Michael Famous, May his soul rest in peace.
Dr. Michael Fanous was an HIV/AIDS activist serving the LGBTQ+ community for more than 2 decades since they first started volunteering at the LGBT Youthline back in 2002. They are also the founder of medsEXPERT Clinic and Pharmacy on Church Street.
Dr. Fanous earned their doctorate in 2008 while working at Canada’s largest HIV clinic, Maple Leaf Medical, before going on to work at various organizations in Toronto’s Queer Village.
Michael was also involved in educational programs at local organizations including ACT, and others as well as being involved with research studies in HIV and gay men’s health at Ryerson University and the University of Toronto.
In 2015, Dr. Fanous created “Allies Against Stigma” – a community team of queer activists both HIV-positive and HIV-negative to promote better access to care and end HIV stigma in Toronto’s queer community.
