Penning down a heartfelt tribute, Fran Pilo on Facebook wrote:
I met Huddo at Southwick Park during my phase 2 training, and we completed our initial dog course side by side.
From day one, her kindness stood out. She had this gentle strength about her that made everyone around her feel seen and supported.
What many won’t realise is how much perseverance it takes to become a military dog handler. For Huddo, it was years of graft, setbacks, and sheer determination. But she never gave up. She gave everything. Her tenacity was unmatched.
Just a few weeks ago, she donated to my charity fundraiser without hesitation—because that’s the kind of person she was. Quietly generous. Unfailingly kind.
Always thinking of others. I can’t begin to express how heartbroken I am for her family and loved ones. The world is a little dimmer without her in it.
