Information reaching our news desk has it that host of the Defyant ones on the DEFY wrestling Patreon, Kevin Diers, has sadly passed away. Kevin, who is a freelance writer and radio host on KISW 99.9 FM, was reported to have died earlier today, May 8, 2025.

His cause of death was not made known to the public as at the time of filling this report.

DEFY Wrestling took to their official Facebook to confirm the passing of Kevin Diers with a press release.

It reads: We are deeply saddened to hear that our brother, Kevin Diers, has passed away.
Kevin has worked with DEFY since day one. RIP, my friend…

In 2023, Kevin Diers (DEFY / WREMIX News) took part in the AEW WrestleDream Media Scrum in Seattle and brought full coverage from the historic event to fans.

Reacting to Kevin’s sad demise, Aaron-Rev Peters, through his official Facebook, penned down a lengthy tribute to the media Icon.

I was just informed of Kevin Dier’s passing. It hit me like a ton of bricks. Kevin was one of the real ones.

Few people in Seattle championed bands in the way that he did, and his passion was unmatched. We first met when he was in college at the radio program at KGRG, a good 20 years ago.

He was always excited to talk about music, always wanted to hear your opinions or suggestions, and always wanted to learn about new bands.

His support for guys like me who were trying to make something of ourselves in a convoluted, dog-eat-dog industry was unparalleled.

Anytime I was frustrated, worn out, or ready to give up, he was right there with words or encouragement. I’m so glad Jake and I got to go hang out with him at the station not too long ago. Seattle owes so much to him, and I hope he knew that… rest easy, friend, see you on the next one.
